Who We Are
Building Dreams Since 1977
Manson and Laura Peppers founded our company in 1977 in the state of Alaska. During the initial years, we began to specialize in building high-quality custom Post and Beam homes. We brought the invaluable experience that we acquired with us to Georgia when the company relocated in 1984.
We quickly developed a reputation as one of the best custom home builders in North GA. In 1993, our company -- formerly known as Blue Ridge Cedar Homes -- became an authorized Lindal Cedar Homes dealer. We continue to serve as a leading Lindal Cedar Homes dealer for the Southeast.
Today, Modern Dwellings of Georgia is in its second generation. Justin Peppers, the founders' son, now leads the company with the same commitment to quality that his parents established. Our passion and main focus continues to be building the highest quality custom homes in North Georgia.

Meet the Owner
Justin Peppers
Justin Peppers grew up in the business — spending weekends and summers on job sites alongside his father, Manson Peppers, from a young age. By age 20, he was supervising projects, and by 25, he earned his General Contractor license.
In 2016, Justin became president of the Lindal dealership, bringing a new generation of leadership to the company his parents founded. In 2022, he renamed the company Modern Dwellings of Georgia, reflecting the evolution of both the brand and the homes we build.
Justin lives in the greater Atlanta area with his wife, Jenn, and their daughter. His hands-on upbringing and decades of construction experience mean that when you work with Modern Dwellings, you're working with an owner who has been building quality homes his entire life.
